"its layering time" day

  • bear hat - custom (by: cosplay casuals)
  • brown a-line skirt with buttons - elevenses (anthropologie)
  • pink skirt - miss sixty
  • pink long sleeve shirt - james perse
  • pink flower pin - NoaNoa
Its finally cold enough to layer! Someone in class told me that I looked very "Japanese". I guess Americans don't wear enough animal hats. The hat is modeled after a drawing by my favorite Japanese animator, Yoshitoshi Abe. I got it probably 5 years ago. The lady that made it for me is super duper nice.

fashion blog vacation day (2: the beach)

  • gold sparkly swimsuit with ruffles and bow - juicy couture
  • giant white sunglasses - D&G
I bought this swimsuit for Vegas last summer. I wore strappy gold heels to match while I hung out around the pool at Ceasar's Palace. Class-y. Anyway, I missed the Atlantic ocean. Brandy captured my glee.

  • silver dress - jenny n collection (narcisse)
  • seafoam cashmere cardigan - laundry by shelli segal

October in Florida! What I wore to my sister's wedding! Not a great photo of the shoes, which have awesome lucite heels. No, seriously. And they happen to be super comfortable despite the high heel.

playful day

  • mustard patent bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs
  • scarf - Target (seriously)
  • cable knit thigh highs - ?
I really don't remember where I found these thigh highs, but I love them dearly. Also the bag is one of my most favorite possessions. I found it at the Saks company store for next to nothing. What a gem.

the day before I got sick (10/6)

  • knitted leggings in heather gray - Juicy Couture
  • birdcage necklace - made by me
  • skirt - rampage
I started to get sick the very day after this. With my declining health, my outfits took a dive as well. Seeing as how I didn't leave the house at all; I didn't really get dressed. I wore black on black + a tiara for my birthday and went out despite my sickness, but there are only photobooth pictures to prove it.

blue day

  • teal opaque stockings - DKNY
  • purple tunic - uniqlo
  • talking Japanese watch - some shop near Union Square
This purple watch is one of my most favorite possessions. Push a button and it announces the time in very polite Japanese.

tired day

  • sweater - marc by marc jacobs
  • red shoes - nine west
I love this cozy sweater. I got it at the SF Saks Fifth Avenue. All the buttons are functional. You could even button the neck hole closed, if you were so inclined. I have never worn it with the other buttons unbuttoned, maybe someday.
